Frequently Asked Questions
Where is your studio?
Located right in the heart of Liberty Village at 123 Jefferson Ave. Lots of street parking with meters for payment.
What's the turnaround for my session?
You'll see your entire session within 2 to 3 business days.
Do I get all my pics and how are they sent?
Yes, you receive all your photos. We will send you an email once your photos are ready for you to view on the online preview gallery. Clients typically like this because it not only allows them to easily preview all their pics, create a favorite list, but they can also email the link to their agents/managers or whomever else they like. All of the images are high rez with no watermarks.
Can I do my own hair and makeup?
I strongly advise against this even if you're a professional makeup artist. I work with extremely talented people with whom I've established a long working relationship. Their assistance/brilliance is the reason your pictures will look professional. My makeup artists are all extremely friendly people and we are here to not only guide you but more importantly to listen to you so you are happy with the results...and they stay for the entire session!
Do your makeup people do hair as well?
Yes. However it's not a hair salon appointment, so for the sake of time we ask that you show up with your hair clean, dry and free of product.. From there they will style your hair and get your hair camera ready. .
How long do shoots typically take?
Times may vary but typically women take about 3 hours and men about 2 hours.
What constitutes a look?
A look is a clothing change. Adding a jacket or a tie is not an additional look.
Can we have a consultation before we shoot?
Absolutely! I provide a complimentary 20-minute Zoom or phone call to discuss your session in detail. During this time, we can talk about wardrobe choices, desired looks, and any specific preferences you have. This session is tailored to you, and ensuring you get the most out of it is my priority. Being prepared is key to guaranteeing a successful photo session, and I'm here to help make that happen.
Will you be directing me in the session?
Yes, I will take you through the process. I like to make sure that get great angles, looks and energy through out the session and the looks that we do. I am very hands with helping you choose the right clothing, making sure the makeup and hair artist knows what you want and then directing you in front of lens. I began my career as a model so I know how it feels being in front of the lens and I do my best to make you feel comfortable and in my experience the more direction I give the more comfortable you will be throughout the session. I really enjoy working together with my clients to make sure that they get the best photos possible.
Why are the corporate packages more expensive than the acting headshots?
Although the packages for a corporate session and an acting session are similar, there are some deciding factors as to why the corporate shoot is more expensive. First, most actors come back and get their photos taken within 12 months, whereas corporate photos can last up to 3-5 years. Additionally, actors are generally easier to photograph because they are accustomed to being in front of the camera and have more experience having their photos taken.
What is your shooting style?
My studio exudes a fresh, open atmosphere where you instantly feel at home. Ensuring your comfort during your time here is paramount to me. We collaborate closely to capture the photos you envision, and it's equally important to me that you depart feeling positively about yourself and the experience. Complimentary coffee, tea, water, and snacks are always available to provide a little boost when needed.
Music?
I have Spotify so please make a play list if you like and we can play during your session. Have fun with it, its your session and I love to hear other peoples taste in music.
